Fishery Rules

Everyone fishing at Kirtlington Fisheries must abide by the few simple rules we've put in place to keep the fishery a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy:

Site Rules:

  • No drugs or other illegal / banned substances are allowed on site. Any member or day ticketer breaking this rule will be banned for life
  • All rubbish must be taken home
  • No dogs
  • No children under the age of 16
  • No fires (disposable barbeques are allowed)
  • No alcohol  **new**
  • Cars must be parked in the car parks

Day Ticket Specific Rules:

  • Buy your day ticket before you start fishing
  • Fish with a maximum of 2 rods  **new**
  • Fishing hours are strictly between 7.00am and 7.00pm  **new**
  • No night fishing

Fishing Rules for everyone:

  • No lead core
  • Rig tubing must be used if using braid as main line
  • No nuts  **new**
  • Pulses must be properly prepared
  • Valid Environment Agency Rod Licence required (ensure you have enough licences to cover all your rods!)

Additional rules for Gallows Brook and Stable Lake

  • Barbless hooks only

Additional rules for Manor Lake:

  • Use micro-barbed hooks only  **new**
  • Unhooking mats are obligatory on Manor Lake
  • Your landing net must be at least 36" in size  **new**
  • Use 10lb line minimum when carp fishing  **new**
  • No carp to be kept in keep nets
  • Member's guests must be accompanied at all times

You can drive to the swims on the far side of Manor Lake but please return your car to the car park once you have unloaded your gear.
